In this post i’ll be going over the important information concerning the ESR test.<\/span><\/p>\n

    With that said, let’s get into the details of the post.<\/span><\/p>\n

    A Brief Description of how the test works and what it’s testing for.<\/span><\/h1>\n

    Basically, the ESR test looks at how quickly you’re red blood cells settle down in a tube.?The RBCs (red blood cells) pile up on the bottom of the tube in what is called a rouleaux formation.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The sedimentation rate (the SR of ESR) tells us how quickly and in what formation the red blood cells settle into the tubes.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Using this information blood technicians are given a unique look into your blood health.<\/span><\/p>\n

    So what do the test results mean? What does a high or a low reading tell us about our body?<\/span><\/h1>\n

    This test, often called a “sed rate”, is often ordered to for people with certain conditions or expected conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n
